After more than a decade in academia, including ~7 years of postdoctoral research supported by two Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships (PhD + Postdoc), I am looking ahead to opportunities beyond my current fellowship.
I am an (aquatic) ecologist with broad expertise across aquatic and freshwater ecology, biodiversity change, biological invasions, community and population dynamics, ecosystem functioning, and large-scale ecological synthesis. In recent years, my work has increasingly focused on conceptual and integrative research, including high-level reviews and perspectives that connect ecological theory, empirical synthesis, and applied management and policy.
Key metrics (2026):
- 200+ peer-reviewed publications
- 6,000+ citations total (≈2,000 citations in 2025 alone)
- ~7 years of postdoctoral research experience
- Extensive international collaboration network
- Teaching and supervision experience at BSc, MSc, and PhD level
Alongside research, I am strongly committed to teaching, mentoring, and building collaborative research programs, and I am open to roles across ecology, environmental science, biodiversity, and sustainability-focused units. With ~18 months remaining on my Marie Curie fellowship, I am actively exploring academic or research positions starting late 2026 / early 2027, ideally with a pathway to permanence.
If you are aware of upcoming positions, strategic hires, or grant-linked opportunities, I would be very grateful. Please feel free to reach out directly.
